Data Centers: AI apocalypse or the modern American export miracle?

Data centers have become a modern visceral battleground over economic growth versus the panicked hysteria of the impending demise of civilization.

We have gone through histrionic freak outs before, such as the 1970s where the promise of nuclear power was torn down in a frenzied tantrum only to be “discovered” 50 years later as one of the foundational power sources for the future.

The oft used expression is that 70% of the world’s data traffic travels through the U.S., much of it through Northern Virginia.

Tim Stronge’s 2019 article challenges this metric. Tim puts the number much lower - but still says the reality is that the U.S. and specifically Virginia are the world market leaders.

Tim’s article is now seven years old which is centuries in the AI and data center world, so the numbers in favor in America have grown even better.

Regardless of Tim’s attempt to quibble over the 70% metric, the reality is that a very large percentage of the world’s AI compute and processing takes place in the U.S. which means jobs jobs jobs for the U.S.

Jobs in construction, jobs in chip manufacturing, jobs in manufacturing of servers, routers, and compute capacity, and jobs in the operation of data centers.

The world’s compute, processing, and AI related ones and zeros seek American Data Centers to about a 60-80% share

This is a huge vote of confidence in American AI and data centers.

Why would we seek to undermine our own success?

Why would we give away such market advantage when the world’s digital economy is demanding U.S. compute, processing power along with U.S. AI capabilities?

Here we have success and market dominance yet suddenly we have a groundswell (real or fake) that wants to throw American success overboard and go back to stone knives and bearskins.

Hmm, we had societal meltdown over COVID, the unquestioned need for the vaccine, and the weaponization of truth on the source of COVID.

Seems like the same mob mentality of wokeness has found a new target with data centers.

Let’s review some of the basic statistics

First, America dominates in the number of data centers

Second, America dominates energy usage for data centers (which is another way to measure power of data centers).

Which companies dominate the flow of internet traffic through these data centers?

Looks solidly American to me.

If you want America First, you have it right here in the American AI and data center model which dominates the world.

If you want American jobs, you have it right here with American AI and data centers.

If you’re concerned about lawless Big Tech, beat them into submission with America First principles based upon our incredible Constitution.

If you’re concerned about the growth of data centers (which I am), be aware, be informed, but do not be stampeded into the AI/Data Center doom grift.

The American model and mantra should be “Innovate, don’t Regulate”.

The EU and China are doing the opposite.

No country has ever regulated itself to greatness.

The EU and China are attempting to defy gravity by placing regulation first.

Good luck to them.

Bottom line - American data centers will get better, faster, cheaper, more efficient, use less energy, and smaller.

I guarantee it.

Data centers fall under Moore’s Law - which has been 100% accurate.

Moore’s Law means improved AI, compute, and processing power will give such improvements that in 10 years most of the data centers in Northern Virginia will be declared redundant because of the increase in AI/data center computing power, decrease in power usage, and miniaturization.

Remember the first large American computers in these large blockhouses around America during the Cold War?

They went away - your single smartphone is more powerful than this entire blockhouse.

Moore’s Law was proven decisively true, and has been over and over again.

Do not be a Panican.

Embrace and celebrate the power of American AI and data centers.

If you don’t, another country will and then create their own version of their AI and their data centers

It won’t be good.

Re-Industrialization of America means great housing right next to that new Shipyard (or Gigafactory)

Craig Hooper (who has been on my podcast) raised a critical issue in his recent Forbes article.

Re-industrialization means new communities (or re-born communities) right next to where the action is at the AI enabled, highly automated factories of America’s future.

As Craig points out, this topic will have 2028 Presidential Election impact.

If you’ve been to Huntington Ingalls Shipyard in Newport News, Virginia there’s several things to note.

The massive shipyard still has ample room for growth and recapitalization to put most of the production activities indoor to remediate from the steamy Virginia heat, protect from drones, and contain the byproducts of industrial work.
The yard is within eyesight of one of the most famous naval battles in history, the epic Monitor and the Merrimac duel.
The immediate urban area is nice but largely dated and in need of broad modernization to make it appealing to the greatly expanding workforce.
The workforce demands are booming, but are hard to fill.

What are one of the foundational causal factors of this labor shortage?

Who wants to drive an hour or two to work so that they can have a more appealing area to live?

The new Saronic Ship Factory in Texas is an example of getting this right from the beginning where Newport News is an example of recapitalizing the immediate urban area of an existing facility to get things right.

The Golden Age of Industry in America means great communities right next to the great factories.

Medicaid and Obama Care fraud is everywhere

Costs go up when there is vast and pervasive fraud.

These are dollars that could be kept by working families who instead have handed them in taxes to the government who then hand them to fraudsters.

Many of whom are Illegal Aliens. Illegal Aliens who drive up housing costs.

Dr. Mehmet Oz has been relentless in identifying and ending or deferring these fraudulent payments.

““If it smells like fraud, we are not paying for it anymore,” CMS Administrator Mehmet Oz said during a Tuesday event announcing the deferrals.

The agency is deferring $867 million in Medicaid funding to California and $199 million to Minnesota for claims the states spent in the previous quarter. Oz said the money could be unlocked, but only if the states can prove it was used for legitimate services.”

Minnesota may have been where the revelations of massive fraud started, thanks to Nick Shirley, but California seems to be the Gold Rush center of gravity for fraud.

$10 Billion Dollars were squandered through ineligible and unlawful recipients of the Affordable Care Act (i.e. Obama Care). If you’ve tried to sign yourself or a love one up for Obama Care you know the painful and tortured bureaucracy of the process, but many have learned how to do this to receive free stuff from the government.

Many of these recipients have been Illegal Aliens. Illegal Aliens who drive up housing costs, fuel costs, and food costs (they are in line using your money to pay for the same items).

The life lesson is very simple, do not lie on a government form.

If you received money from China doing “scientific research”, you had better report it.

The mess America is climbing out of out of took a sharp turn into insanity on May 16, 2017.

This is when those who had been leading the war against Candidate Trump went all in on a full blown coup against President Trump.

Dr. Peter Navarro, who spent time in prison for a flimsy Contempt of Congress charge penned an Op-Ed outlining the pathway to prosecution.

President Trump said, when asked about Dr. Fauci’s Fifth Amendment stage show in front to Congress:

“Well, you know they prosecuted [White House adviser] Peter Navarro, and they prosecuted [former White House official] Steve Bannon, two very decent people, over something that essentially was never prosecuted before,”

The smoking gun of who started this dark episode in American History on May 16, 2017 has been revealed with newly declassified documents Dr. Navarro says in his Op-Ed:

“ “On May 16, 2017, the FBI took one of the most extraordinary steps in its history: It opened a full investigation of the sitting American president.

Newly declassified documents released by the White House say the bureau asked whether the president “is or was directed by, controlled by, and/or coordinated activities with” Vladimir Putin’s Russia — and whether he “obstructed and/or conspired to obstruct” the FBI’s own investigation.

That the FBI had targeted President Trump was reported in 2019. What was missing was the paperwork — the opening document, the names on it, the chain of command.

Dr. Navarro identifies the way forward:

NBC goes back to its fake news roots and calls Heidi Beirich an “Extremist expert”, where she was really funding and creating the “extremism” she was supposedly fighting.

Other media and bios called Heidi the “Intelligence Chief” of the SPLC.

Heidi was paying her boyfriend and many others to be part of extremist groups.

“Southern Poverty Law Center official Heidi Beirich was in a secret romantic relationship with a confidential informant—identified in court documents only as "F-9"—who had infiltrated the neo-Nazi group National Alliance. The individual's full legal name has not been publicly detailed in the mainstream media coverage of the case.”

NBC’s headline was fake as well as Heidi Beirich and the SPLC.

This is why the progressives, liberals, and the Socialist Democrats have no legitimacy on any topic at this point in time.

Everything has been a fraud they have created, often with laundered federal funds, and then viciously used all possible tools to attack and suppress those who questioned them.

The SPLC was not paying “informants”, they were creating the story.

The United Kingdom Ministry of Defence is scrambling to explain and mitigate the cyber and public affairs damage from the revelation that their secret drones in the Middle East had Chinese electronic parts.

These parts were on some of the UK’s Special Operation Force drone boats used for sensitive intelligence, reconnaissance, and attack in the Middle East.
