Blinken tried it again in China. His 2023 trip was a disaster and he looked feckless and weak. On his departure in 2023 the Chinese announced while he was in flight that they weren’t only going to re-open the Lourdes Spy Base in Cuba, they were going to do Military Training in Cuba. And whenever there is a footprint like this, long range air defense missiles are not far behind, or possibly already in place. With the S-300/400 air defense missiles they are dual purpose and can be used against ground targets as well as air targets all the way up to Orlando.
In this trip Blinken seemed to be more direct. It probably confused the Chinese since they paid him well when Blinken was at the UPenn Biden Center creating the 51 Intel Officer Election Interference Fraud.
In the end Xi was undeterred and disregarded the hapless emissary of Secretary Blinken.
