The Second Vietnam War?
Vietnam is very concerned about China, but the Vietnamese Military is terrified that the U.S. will foment a color revolution to take down the Vietnamese Government
Right when you think we have an opportunity to build bridges and relationships with Vietnam, it turns out the Vietnamese Military is on high alert to battle a U.S. Color Revolution.
It is a bit disappointing - and to be clear - this Vietnamese Plan was from the Autopen Era. The image of Lunch Bucket Joe landing with an Ice Cream in hand, backed up by the Cackler in Chief concerned them.
“The original Vietnamese document titled “The 2nd U.S. Invasion Plan” was completed by the Ministry of Defense in August 2024. It suggests that in seeking “its objective of strengthening deterrence against China, the U.S. and its allies are ready to apply unconventional forms of warfare and military intervention and even conduct large-scale invasions against countries and territories that ‘deviate from its orbit.’”
While noting that “currently there is little risk of a war against Vietnam,” the Vietnamese planners write that “due to the U.S.’s belligerent nature we need to be vigilant to prevent the U.S. and its allies from ‘creating a pretext’ to launch an invasion of our country.” “
With the imagery of Maduro and Venezuela fresh in the minds of all, it is unclear if the Vietnamese are more concerned or now more interested in aligning with the U.S.
